B&K 5BKPV-1 4.5-inch flying-spot scanner CRT
Tube cathodique d'analyse à spot mobile
Flying-Spot-Scanner Bildröhre

Very short persistence, purplish blue phosphor flying spot tube.

This tube was used for generating test patterns from slides for television service shops in the B&K 1076 Television Analyst, which was a very popular test instrument from the monochrome era.
The B&K 1076’s were made in Chicago by B&K Instruments and were released around 1961.
Basically, it was a very early version of a test pattern generator.

This tube was also used in the B&K Dyna-Scan Model 1000.
