SYLVANIA - The WAMOSCOPE, a new Microwave Display Device

The Wamoscope (wave-modulated oscilloscope), developed for the U.S. Navy after World War II by Sylvania and declassified in 1956, combined a traveling-wave amplifier tube into the neck of a radar indicator CRT. The result was comparable to a microwave radar receiver within one enveloppe.
