This xenon lamp has a special quartz window that transmitts ultraviolet light and was developed especially for applications that require UV output at wavelengths below 190 nm.

It has also been used for high-speed silhouette photography.

The arc discharge length in 3 millimeters. With an operating voltage range from 300 to 1500 V DC, the maximum energy per flash in 5 joules.
