First halogen source to feature a planar filament, launched in 1966.
It was intended to replace the earlier studio spotlight lamps with which it was both physically and electrically interchangeable. The double ended quartz bulb is sealed into a conventional medium bi-post lamp to achieve the necessary compatibility.
