Платинотрон импульсный Тип МИУ-49 (УМИ-200)
Soviet Pulsed-Type Platinotron MIU-49 (UMI-200)
Platinotron en régime pulsé (Amplificateur à champs croisés)
Gepulstes Platinotron (Kreuzfeldverstärker)
A platinotron (from Greek “platino” = make wider, expand, and “electron”), also called “amplitron”, is a crossed-field amplifier (CFA). The CFA is similar in operation to the magnetron and is capable of providing relatively large amounts of power with high efficiency.
The platinotron is used in transmitting devices of radar stations, communication, navigation
and telemetering systems.
Forced liquid cooling.
Frequency range: 2.12 .. 2.34 GHz.
Pulsed input power: 2 kW.
Pulsed output power: not less than 20 kW.
Efficiency: not less than 30 %.
Duty cycle:
• in 2-channel regime: 190 .. 250.
• in double duty cycle regime: 380 .. 500.
Pulse duration: 5.6 .. 6.4 µs.
Filament voltage: 5.7 .. 7 V.
Anode voltage: 13.5 kV.
Pulsed anode current: 8 A.
