ITT F4007 #8 6" Biplanar Photodiode
Photodétecteur de rayons gamma
Gamma-Detektor
This experimental tube, with a total diameter of 7" and an active cathode
of 6" in diameter, is one of a family of high-current phototubes developed by ITT which have
become standard items for measurement of high-density gamma radiation of short time duration, like
the flash of a nuclear explosion.
It produces an output of hundreds of amps when biased at several kilovolts.
