Western Electric 377A Plug

Dummy plug consisting of a miniature stem and bulb with interior welded leads for shorting out pins.

Used in N1 carrier repeaters, when located in central offices, to replace the 427A cold-cathode voltage regulator tube. The shorted leads maintained continuity of the powering path to other tubes in the repeater.

2099 units were produced in 1974.
