P. J. Mason & Co. Ltd. (Chatham, Kent, UK) was founded by Mr. Peter J. Mason, and became later Masonlite Ltd. Originally founded to fill a niche by manufacturing the short length fluorescent lamps not offered by the major manufacturers, the firm gradually evolved into a manufacturer of cold cathode lighting components. These comprise of hollow cathode electrodes and fluorescent phosphor coated tubing, and also a complementary range of neon accessories such as transformers, processing equipment, and tools for the sign making industry.
