Experimental Eimac triode based on the 826
Triode expérimentale
Versuchsröhre, Triode
The 826 used an anode with no fins on it so it was easy to overheat the anode and gas-up the
tube. This is obviously an experimental tube because the builder put a note in the carton
"special double-wound 826 grid" and noted the "filament voltage 7.5 V", and it has also a
large finned anode radiator, probably a 125 Watt or greater dissipation rating, and the
plate lead is out the top, allowing this tube to have lower inductance; this change also
keeps the output RF energy well away from the input (grid) as the original 826 had.
Ef = 7.5 - special double wound 826 grid.
