The 2C46 is a three-electrode tube of the disc-seal type designed for use in a specific cavity for stable local-oscillator service between 1000 and 1200 MHz.
Maximum dissipation: 12 Watts.
Used in the receiving section of IFF transponders.
Developed by General Electric during WWII, but registered only after the end of the war, in February 1946.
