GEMA = Gesellschaft für elektroakustische und mechanische Apparate mbH

During 1934/35, GEMA used the American type 304 tube as the basis for the design of their own TS2. It had little value for decimetre waves. The TS2 evolved into the TS5 in 1936. It had a bayonet socket and was primarily used in sonar equipment.
