Tube redresseur monophasé
Einphasen-Quecksilberdampf-Gleichrichter

PECO Welding Systems GmbH

In 1908, on the initiative of the engineers Pfretzschner & Bocks, PECO Widerstandsschweißtechnik was founded in Pasing (Munich, Germany) and immediately established itself as a leading industry in the field of resistance welding, introducing regular developments and innovations that have contributed and still contribute to making history, from the use of Hygrotron (1950) and then Semiconductors (1963) and Power Transistors for secondary current regulation (1980), to the introduction of the Microprocessor (1985) and today's Integration with the PC with remote maintenance via IP or SIM and the widespread use of the motorized head. Since 1950, PECO has dedicated itself more and more exclusively to microjoints with resistance micro-welding, which is used in the electromechanical, automotive and white components, electronic, space, medical, fine mechanics, etc. sectors.

In 1950, PECO developed the HYGROTRON mercury tube to be used in the field of resistance welding. The HYGROTRON 2/200 was an ignitron.

The ARQ3 looks more to a mercury arc rectifier; it is initiated by tilting it, which generates a spark with the side-mounted electrode, facilitating the tube's startup.

Thanks to Eric De Gieter for providing data on this tube.
