Used to delay the application of plate voltage to mercury vapour rectifiers until the cathode had reached a safe temperature.

Control Current must not exceed 29 mA.
Control Circuit Resistance 1800 Ohms. approx.

The switch works by direct expansion of the strands of wires, which are held in tension by a spring-lever arrangement which closes a relay contact when the wires expand due to thermal heating by applied current.
