This tube was accepted by the US Navy in 1944.

Peanut-type special-purpose UHF detector diode with two wire filament leads and a plate lead. Used in the Navy LW radar test set as a detector for the wavemeter. Looks like a NE-2 lamp with a plate lead emerging from the side.

Formerly D-159765; also numbered 225TQ. Later replaced with silicon crystals.
