Ionization gauge head of the Bayard-Alpert type intended for pressure measurement over the range 10 mTorr to 10 pTorr.
The gauge has an electrically conducting layer on the inside of the glass envelope which, when held at a fixed potential, prevents charge build up and so considerably improves the stability of measurements of pressures below 10 nTorr.
