Together with the A-107 and A-109, the A-108 is the smallest dekatron ever made. It has an unusual internal construction with only 10 cathodes instead of the 30 cathodes typical for a dekatron counting tube. The cathodes are bent at an angle and designed to be driven with a flip-flop, but the tube will work just fine with most dekatron circuits.
